- Genuine ODIS tooling — no substitutes. VCDS and OBDeleven cannot perform full Matrix activation on current platforms.
- SFD/SFD2 authorization — required for 2018+ MLB and all MQBevo/PPE vehicles.

Services to Approach With Caution
Beyond the reviewed providers, there are services that claim to offer Matrix activation through OBDeleven "apps," VCDS coding guides, or generic dongle devices.
